A chance meeting with uber popular international DJ/Actor, turned Golden Globe winner, Idris Elba early in his acting career culminated in the two becoming what the club industry would soon know as an infectious dynamic duo. Not only did this affiliation manifest DJ Shogun’s love for deejaying , it sparked a marketing niche that allowed Murdock to produce a string of mixtapes that would catapult him into the club stratosphere. A rare but effective partnership, Shogun’s career spun into a whirlwind of rocking the 1’s and 2’s all over the world solo. The celebrity element, which fed the public desire for quite some time brought visibility to Shogun’s individual talent and carried him like an undercurrent to greater highs.
